Unlike traditional fertilizers, biostimulants are not just sources of nutrients but act on the natural processes of plants to enhance their growth, development, and yield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this sense, it is important to understand new concepts of modern agriculture such as Nutrient Use Efficiency (NUE), as this measure allows us to evaluate the positive impact of biostimulants on nutrient utilization by plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This term is used to describe a wide variety of natural substances and microorganisms used to improve nutrient use efficiency, crop quality, and environmental stress tolerance. This new concept delineates the scope of biostimulants and establishes their differentiation from other agricultural inputs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>A biostimulant should not be confused with a fertilizer or a growth regulator, as its main function is to enhance plant growth through the activation of biological processes.
