Ficosterra Presents its Organic Fertilizers in Biofach

Ficosterra is presented at Biofach, the German organic fair

For the first time, and together with the institutional stand of the Government of Castilla and León, coordinated by the Institute of Business Competitiveness (ICE), Ficosterra has participated along with five other Castilian-Leonese exhibitors in the largest international exhibition of organic products, held in Nuremberg (Germany) between February 14 and 17, 2018, presenting its different organic fertilizers: the Bokashi (in Spain known as, bocashi) of algae Ficosterra-g and the liquid fertilizer Ficosagro.

With this assistance, Ficosterra wanted to promote and explore the distribution channels in Germany and Europe to export the products it sells in the Agro world: the Bokashi of algae Ficosterra-g and the biostimulant liquid Ficosagro, two brands that aroused enormous interest during the whole fair. Throughout the 4 days, the technicians of Ficosterra and its general have talked with the heads of more than 150 organic agriculture companies, producers of substrates and liquid fertilizers, as well as different distribution companies. Biofach is the most important fair in the international field for organic products and ranges from raw materials and food to textiles, footwear, cosmetics, and hygiene. In this last time, the fair has welcomed a total of 3,218 exhibitors from 93 countries and has managed to attract more than 50,000 visitors from 134 countries. The ecological sector worldwide has experienced a strong growth in the last 25 years and the forecasts of its expansion are highly positive, as the market is aimed at increasing the specific weight of organic food consumption, the incorporation of new countries and consumers in the green market, and a trend towards more attractive and affordable prices.

Spain leads, in Europe, the area devoted to the cultivation of organic production and is placed in fifth place worldwide after Australia, Argentina, USA, and China. Ficosterra, aware of this enormous potential, aims to position itself as one of the first Spanish brands to supply organic fertilizers (both liquid and solid), based on algae and microorganisms, a clear alternative to other fertilizers or organic solutions.
